  • The Four Corners Folk Festival

September 3 - 5, 2010 -    Reservoir Hill, Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147.  Featuring: The Sam Bush Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Solas, Over the Rhine, and much more! The Four Corners Folk Festival is celebrating its 15th year featuring three days of amazing performances. This event includes on-site and offsite camping, workshops, jamming and kids programs on one of the most beautiful forested sites in the country. Very close to the famous hot springs. Kids 12 and under are free.

    September 10 - 12, 2010. - The 2010 Newport Music Festival, sponsored by the Inland Northwest Bluegrass Association (INBA), Newport City Park, First Street and Calispel Avenue, Newport, Washington 99156. Featuring: Heartbreak Pass, Stony River, Wide River, The Grasstones, Wild Honey, Kettle Creek  Enjoy continuous bluegrass and americana music on the main stage, non-stop through the daylight hours Friday through Sunday afternoon, and enjoy the spontaneous bluegrass jams and pickin' sessions that spring up in the campground throughout the weekend!  Admission: $5/Day. September 17 - 19, 2010 - Amador County Fairgrounds, 8261 Sheerwood & School Sts, Plymouth, California, 95669. Featuring SWBA Member Band, The Brombies, plus: Kenny & Amanda Smith, Larry Gillis Band (formely w/Gillis Brothers), Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, The Spinney Brothers, The Bluegrass Brothers, Spring Creek, Bound To Ride, Blue & Lonesome, Dalton Mountain Gang, Brothers Comatose A premier Northern California Festival in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Country in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of the Gold Country. A premium line-up, an art's & craft vendors, music workshops, a classic car show , kids on stage, great food & beverage a return of our late night dance, emerging artists performance, kids activities. Amador County Fairgrounds offers limited electric for RV campers on its thirty-five acres. There are rolling green lawns, old oak trees and immaculately groomed grounds as well as some dirt / gravel. All sites are first come first serve. No reservations taken. The Fairgrounds do have hot showers and dump station on site.

September 17 - 19, 2010 Pine Mountain Amphitheater (PMA), Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. Pickin' in the Pines 2010 features three fabulous days of concerts, workshops, contra dancing, band contest, children's activities, camping and jamming, all in the Ponderosa pine forest surrounding Flagstaff.

  • 40th Annual Julian Lion's Banjo, Fiddle Music Festival

September 18 - 19, 2010 -    9am - 6pm (Sat.) 9am - 4pm (Sun.). Frank Lane Park, Farmer Road, Julian, , California, 92036. Featuring: Various performers TBA and much more! The Julian Bluegrass Festival is the oldest Bluegrass Festival in California. Many of the finest bluegrass artists today started on this stage in contests and in performances. The Festival is held annually at Frank Lane Park in beautiful Julian, CA, and attracts artists and visitors from throughout the west. In 2010, the music festival returns to its roots with the return of the contest, while still retaining the music concert portion of the event. Saturday will be the contest concluding with a couple professional bands and Sunday will be a day of professional entertainment.  .The Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, and Mandolin Contests are on Saturday only. There will be an Open Mic stage and lots of Jamming Opportunities all weekend. See website for all pricing, applications and forms.   • Southern California Bluegrass Associations Campout and Jam,

September 24 - 26, 2010 - This event replaces the campout that, for many years, had been held at this time at Pioneer Town.  It now is held at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, 2040 N. Sante Fe Avenue, Vista, California, 92083. on the last weekend of September 2009. Arrival can be as early as Wed. Sept 22rd, with departure as late as on Monday Sept. 27th.  Camping is dry with limited water, bathroom facilities, a dump station, and limited electrical for Handicapped, needing to charge wheelchairs or breathing machines. Overnight camping is $10.00 per day, and day use is a $3.00 donation. All proceeds go to the museum, so camping checks will be made payable to the AG&SEM, and will be collected by George Finkle.  There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday at 5PM. Those who wish to provide dinner musical entertainment will be appreciated.  If possible (depending on the number of players present), on Saturday night at approx 10PM a selected group of Grinners will be out to judge the Best Jam. ARRIVAL: Try not to arrive between 2 and 3:30PM on weekdays, due to the school traffic. In past years, this event has been assisted by the great help of Bud and Barb Watson.

  • Hobbs Grove Bluegrass Festival ,

September 24 - 26, 2010 - Hobbs Grove Park, Sanger, California, 93657. Featuring: Belle Monroe and Her Brewglass Boys, 49 Special, The Tuttles with A.J. Lee, The Dalton Mountain Gang, The Smiley Mountain Band, Snap Jackson and the Knock on Wood Players, Red Dog Ash| Highway 65, Red Rag Andy Band, Groundspeed, Uncle Ephus, The Kings River Gsopelaires. This is a California Bluegrass Association (CBA) event, with free camping Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Showers are available, as well as ice, food, drink and concessions. The festival will be held in beautiful Hobbs Grove Park in Sanger California. There's plenty of room for RV's (no hookups), and lots of shade for tent campers (dry camping only). Featuring SWBA Member Band Mill Creek Boys, plus When Pigs Fly, South Coast, Kattywompus, and Kinfolk Mountain Music Day is a fun day with live music and workshops! This is a fund raiser for the Old School House. STAGE CONCERTS all day. WORKSHOPS: Mountain Dulcimer, Hammered Dulcimer, Autoharp and Guitar. PRICE: $8.00ea Kids under 12 free! Workshops $10.00 for 1 hour! SOUND BY: Walden Dahl!  This is a fund raiser for the Old School House. This is held during apple season in beautiful Oak Glen.   • 39th Annual Old Time Fiddlers' Convention and Festival

October 10, 2010 - Rancho La Patera & Stow House, 304 N. Los Carneros, Goleta CA 93117. Featuring: Laurie Lewis, Tom Rosum, The Foghorn Trio, Steve James,,Wild Asparagus, Little Black Train, Triple Chicken Foot and Special Guests TBA.  The festival is a family friendly celebration of Old Time American music and more. Enjoy contests in Old Time fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, band, and song, plus workshops in Old Time fiddle and acoustic blues guitar as well as jam sessions in various musical styles on the grounds all day. Produced by Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise. All profits support the club's local and international community service projects.

October 8 -10, 2010 - Clark Country Fair Grounds, 1301 W Whipple, Logandale, Nevada, 89021.
